The  Election administrator is required to attend training conducted by MT  Secretary of State on a by annual Schedule. The staff of Granite  County Election office is always available for questions and to assist  in any issues that may arise.

Notice is hereby given that regular* registration for the General Election to be held on November 8, 2022, will close at 5:00 p.m., on October 11, 2022.

*NOTE: If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by showing up at the county election office up to 12:00 p.m. the day before Election Day.

All active and inactive electors of Granite County are entitled to vote at said election. Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing before the County Election Administrator. Inactive electors may reactivate by requesting an absentee ballot in any election, or by notifying the County Election Administrator in writing of the elector’s current residence in the County.

If you have moved, please have your registration transferred to your present address.

Notice of Election by Granite County Election Administrator per MCA 13-1-108

NOTICE is hereby given that in Granite County, Montana, on November 8, 2022, a political subdivision election will be held for the following purposes:

State and Federal General; AND

Countywide Ballot Issue 1: Shall Licensed, Adult-Use Recreational Marijuana Dispensaries be allowed in Granite County, Montana?

Countywide Ballot Issue 2: Shall Granite County impose a 3% Local-Option Marijuana Excise Tax on the retail value of all Non-Medical Marijuana and Non-Medical Marijuana Products sold within Granite County, Montana, if Non-Medical Marijuana (specifically, Adult-Use Recreational Marijuana) Dispensaries are allowed in Granite County, Montana by vote of the people?

Countywide Ballot Issue 3: Shall Granite County impose a 3% Local-Option Marijuana Excise Tax on the retail value of all Medical Marijuana and Medical Marijuana Products sold within Granite County, Montana?

Hospital District Ballot Issue 4: A proposal to the voters of the Granite County Hospital District for approval of a direct property tax levy to raise an amount up to and not to exceed $400,000.00 per fiscal year for the ongoing operations of the Hospital District, this being approximately 24.47 mills per year. The current levy for the Hospital District is set to expire on June 30, 2023. This new levy is intended to be effective for a term of three (3) years total, commencing July 1, 2023 and would continue through June 30, 2026.

Said election will be conducted by Polling Place at the Granite County Museum in Philipsburg, Hall School, and Drummond Community Hall. Please call the Election Administrator’s Office at 406-859-3771, if you have any questions on voting.

The polls will be open at 7:00 am, and will continue to be open until 8:00 pm, on election day.
