OUR MISSION

Granite County Public Health department works to improve the lives of its citizens by providing fundamental health services and education.

OUR VISION

Within five years, Granite County Public Health Department will:

  • Work to provide and improve services for residents that are disabled, elderly and homebound.

  • Provide residents of all age’s access to scheduled vaccinations as an “In Network” healthcare provider with insurance counseling if needed.

  • Work to increase education and services in the County by effectively utilizing the grant budget guidelines and funding we receive in areas such as maternal child health, suicide and injury prevention, aging services, opioid addiction prevention, and immunizations.

IMMUNIZATIONS

Granite County Public Health Department provides free vaccines to Medicaid and uninsured children and adults. We are in the process of credentialing with most major insurance companies to provide “in network” services. We request that you provide your insurance information prior to your appointment to ensure that services will be covered. We accept cash or checks at the time of service.
We are excited to be able to offer scheduled vaccinations at Well Child visits through Granite County Medical Center’s Philipsburg and Drummond clinics. These services are by appointment only-please call Granite County Public Health department to schedule.

AGING SERVICES

Granite County is contracted with the Area V agency on aging. This funding source supports community programs for healthy aging. If you or someone you know would benefit from homemaker services please contact us. Home delivered and congregate meals are available at the Drummond and Philipsburg Senior Centers and through Granite County Medical Center.

INFECTIOUS DISEASE INFORMATION

Granite County Health Department works with the Department of Public Health and Human services on infectious disease cases within the county. Infectious diseases are easily spread by air droplets, body fluids, contaminated surfaces, food or water and animal or insect bites. The health department works to reduce the spread of disease by tracking cases and notifying individuals who may have been exposed. The Centers for Disease Control offers information on infectious diseases. Montana DPHHS provides up to date information as well https://dphhs.mt.gov/.
