Established in 1893, Granite County celebrates its roots in our early mining history seen throughout the county. Today, we remain mostly rural with a diverse economy. Our community members ranch for a living, teach school, work in the forest industry, or may telecommute via the T1 line that follows Highway One. Others enjoy retirement in a peaceful and scenic environment.
