The Granite County Road Department is responsible for maintenance of the County’s roads and bridges. If you have any concerns about County roads, as well as possible or existing safety issues, please contact Road & Bridge Superintendent, Paul Alt at (406) 559-0640 or palt@co.granite.mt.us. 

Road Maintenance Activities Include but are not limited to:

• Road Repair

• Snow Removal

• Right-of-way Maintenance

• Paving

• Graveling

• Grading 

• Dust Abatement

The Road Department's hours are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Please call (406) 859-3720 (Philipsburg Shop) or (406) 288-3500 (Hall Shop) with any road-related general questions, or the number below if you need to report a road maintenance problem.

Reporting Road Maintenance Problems

Road maintenance Problems can be reported to the Department by calling (406) 559-0640 or by emailing palt@co.granit.mt.us . Please include your name and a telephone number where you can be reached as well as a complete description of the problem. Picture attachments are welcome!
